    INDIVIDUAL'S TRAINING

The Bujinkan training program has been developed for over 800 years to accelerate the individual student’s learning curve and enhance their Taijutsu (using the body in a warring way).  This time and test methodology enriches the Budoka (student) in their Budo (war way) studies.

The Bujinkan methodology is not a one size fits all or everyone must look and do things the same way.  It capitalizes on the strengths of each individual, while identifying weaknesses and vulnerabilities that need attention.

We are introducing a Bujinkan Youth Training Program for those from 10 to 18 years-old that desire to learn and train as the historical Samurai and Ninja did.

        CLASS TRAINING

Typically Bujinkan classes do not include calisthenics or stretching per say. Class time is meant to train the mind, body and spirit to be able to effectively deal with an unknown life threatening event that may possibly occur in the future.  Fitness training is an important aspect to health and wellbeing but that should not be a Budo dojos focus or function.

During class each student has a clearly defined list of ideas, concepts and drills to transition them on to the next level of their training.  It is the students’ responsibility to train on the material that is prescribed during each class with guidance from the instructor.

     WEAPONS TRAINING

From the nine Ryu-ha or schools that make up the Bujinkan students are introduced to traditional weapons of both the Samurai and Ninja.  In addition, modern weapons are covered as the Bujinkan's philosophy is one of constant adaptation in all matters. So the integration of new ideas, methods and tools is extremely important.

With the integration of weapons training the student develops a deeper understanding of the importance of the proper use of their body’s structural alignment and natural movement to maximize greater power over simple strength.
